Please make sure that all fields on the registration page are filled in accurately as we use this to contact the scout and leaders if necessary.
You must have a SIGNED BLUE CARD to give the MB Counselor at the 1ST SESSION. The counselors for each badge are listed in the information for that badge when you register. Feel free to contact them prior to session 1 if you are unclear on the pre-requisites.
Prerequisites and Out-of Class work done between sessions: Prerequisites are those requirements that have been identified by the Merit Badge Counselors as those that must be done prior to the January 9th class. These are items that in some cases require the scout to put a lot of effort to complete. That’s why you have 3 months (October-January) to work on these. Examples of prerequisites are: Attend a public event, keep a budget for 12 weeks, do and keep track of 90 days of chores, run a business for 3 months, participate in a troop mobilization. Out-of-class or between session requirements are those items that require counselor approval before starting or counselor clarification that is given at the January session. Examples would be completed photography projects, Family Life projects, painting projects, and journalism write-ups.
REGISTRATION OPENS ON OCTOBER 1ST WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON NOVEMBER 30TH, 2009 IF SPACE IS NOT ALREADY FULL.
THIS IS A POPULAR EVENT IN THE COUNCIL AND SPACE FILLS UP FAST SO REGISTER EARLY.
